Schoolhouse/King Edward Improvement Project

Garibaldi Pumice provided approximately 12,000 cubic metres of dacite pumice lightweight fill (lwf) for the Schoolhouse/King Edward Improvement Project.  The area has a shallow water table and in the past roadways were subjected to localized flooding during heavy rain storms.  Dacite pumice reduces loading on native soils and attenuates storm water flows due to the porosity of the aggregate.
