Lightweight Concrete Aggregate

Garibaldi Pumice produces a lightweight aggregate for concrete products.  Use of dacite pumice reduces the weight of concrete products without substantially compromising strength.  Our concrete aggregate is washed to remove fine particles resulting in a consistently clean, low density aggregate.  The final product is lightweight concrete that is strong and durable with excellent insulating, sound dampening and fire resistance capability.

Dacite pumice is used in the manufacture of lightweight concrete products such as lightweight blocks and pavers.  White pumice aggregate is also widely used in the manufacture of cultured stone products.  The light colour of dacite pumice does not interfere with final colour of decorative concrete products.
